Kitchen
Pantry and freezer – track amounts, scan barcodes, freeze with the ice icon.
Under Kitchen the family manages pantry and freezer in one place. Adjust amounts, capture via barcode and freeze items when needed – without double entry.
Good to know
- Kitchen is Free: pantry and freezer without needing Pro.
- Two tabs: Pantry and Freezer – same idea, different storage places.
- In the pantry the ice icon (snowflake) moves an item straight to the freezer.
- Scan barcode helps you add products faster.
- Recipes stay a separate nav item (cookbook, often Pro-limited) – Kitchen is the stock.
Pantry
In the pantry you see items grouped by categories (e.g. staples, cans). Per row:
- name and amount
- − / + to adjust the amount
- Ice icon – move the item to the freezer (set category and best-before there)
- further actions via the menu or delete
With + New you add an entry; Categories manage the groups. The “All” filter shows or hides categories.
Freezer
The Freezer tab holds frozen items – often with freeze date and best-before. Categories can suggest a typical shelf life.
That helps you see what should be used soon.
Barcode & shopping
Scan barcode helps capture known products. Emptied items can connect to the board (e.g. shopping list), depending how you organise the day.
