- What is Famunio?
- Famunio is family organization for everyday life and school: dashboard, chats, calendar, board, Moments, school, friends, hobbies, recipes, kitchen and Office – with separate logins for parents and children. Files stay in your own cloud.
- How much does Famunio cost?
- There is a free plan and Famunio Pro for the family. Current prices (monthly or yearly) are on the homepage under Pricing.
- What is included in Free – and what needs Pro?

- How does the trial work?
- New families can try Pro free for 14 days. Nothing is charged before day 15. After that the subscription continues only if you do not cancel.
- Can children have their own account?
- Yes. Parents add children to the family and can optionally set up a login with username and password. Children only see areas enabled for them – for example Office can be set to Adults only.
- Where are photos and files stored?
- Not permanently on Famunio servers. The family owner connects their own OneDrive, Google Drive or Infomaniak kDrive folder under Cloud (Pro). Moments, board, chat attachments and Office documents go there. Famunio only stores metadata and encrypted access tokens. Without cloud, chats stay text-based. Optionally each member can connect a personal chat cloud for their own chat files only.
- Can we connect with other families?
- Yes, via Contacts. Search by exact username or share an invite link. When linking, you choose whether only that person or family members are shared. Then shared chats and Moments are possible – Friends (children’s school contacts) remains a separate module.
- What is Office?
- Office (Pro) combines documents and cards in your cloud plus the Safe: short text notes, client-side encrypted in the database – no media. There is a personal Safe and optionally a family Safe for selected participants. Visibility for documents & cards: Everyone or Adults only.
- Is there a smartphone app?
- Famunio is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Install it from the browser to your home screen – no app store. A short guide is under App.
- Is there a referral program?
- Yes – «Double the joy». When a referred family pays for Pro for the first time (real payment), both sides get a bonus (credit of about one month). Details and your link are under Settings → Subscription → Double the joy.
- Where is our data stored?
- Account and family data are hosted on servers in the EU (Germany). Daily database backups are encrypted. Photos and files live in your cloud – see the privacy policy for details.
- How do I cancel Pro?
- Via subscription settings in the app or the Stripe customer portal. After expiry your account stays on the free plan; new entries and Pro areas are limited again.
- I have a technical issue – what should I do?
- Email us with a short description and, if possible, the browser or device affected. We will get back to you as soon as we can. Many features are also explained in the Guide.
