Calendar
Events, series, shared and personal calendars, plus external sync.
The Calendar keeps family and personal events in one place – month by month, with optional sync to Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.

Good to know
- Shared and Personal are separate views – switch, don’t mix them up.
- Colour comes from the calendar (family / person / external feed), not from each event.
- Connecting external calendars is Pro; family members can subscribe to the Famunio calendar via ICS for reading.
- Apple Calendar means calendar sync – not iCloud Drive. Files live in your BYO cloud.
- School tests can appear on the shared calendar when enabled in settings.
Views & navigation
At the top you change the period (arrows) and the view – typically Month. With Shared / Personal you choose which calendar you see.
The menu (three lines) opens further calendar options, e.g. external feeds and the subscription link.
On desktop + New sits in the bar; on mobile as a + button.
Creating events
New events mainly need a title and time range; location and description are optional.
- Shared – visible to the family, Famunio violet colour
- Personal – only on your personal calendar (person colour)
Date and range work like Moments: start with From, optional To – including multi-day spans.
One-off or series
Every event can be one-off or repeating:
- daily
- weekly
- monthly
- yearly
Optionally set “Repeat until”. Without an end date the series continues.
Who sees what?
With the Shared / Personal toggle you see the matching calendar. Children only see external calendars if they are set to visible for “Everyone”.
School tests can land on the shared calendar – controlled in settings.
External calendars & sync
In calendar options you can add iCal feeds (Google, school, …) and subscribe to the Famunio calendar (read-only) in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.
Famunio stays the source for family planning – other apps can follow along without expecting files in “iCloud Drive”.
