Cloud
BYO cloud for Moments, board, Office and chat files – family cloud and optional personal chat cloud.
Under Cloud you view and manage the folder where Famunio stores your media. Famunio does not host files itself: the owner connects OneDrive, Google Drive or Infomaniak kDrive – your data stay with you.

Good to know
- Connecting cloud is Pro (family and personal chat cloud).
- Family cloud (owner connects): default for Moments, board, Office and chat uploads.
- Personal chat cloud (optional, each member): only your own chat files; Moments/board/Office stay in the family cloud.
- Without cloud: chats stay usable as text; no media uploads.
- Apple Calendar (calendar sync) is not iCloud Drive and does not replace a file cloud.
Two views
Under Cloud there are two tabs:
- Family cloud – the family’s shared folder
- My chat cloud – your personal chat folder (when connected)
Which storage applies to chats is set in settings (“Family cloud” vs “own cloud”).
What lands where
- Family cloud: Moments media, board attachments, Office documents & cards, chat files by default
- Personal chat cloud: only your chat files when you chose “own cloud”
External uploads (e.g. grandparents in your chat) use the uploader’s chosen chat destination; compression follows the host family’s settings.
Folders & browser
In the cloud view you browse the Famunio folder (e.g. Images, Documents, Videos): list or grid, select, refresh. That’s a view of the same folder the owner connected – not a Famunio server.
Connecting
The owner connects under Settings → Cloud (or each member for the personal chat cloud). Uploads then appear there; you can disconnect anytime.
